Telluride

About Telluride Ski Resort

Telluride Ski Resort is a world-class winter destination and great for groups, nestled in the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado. The mountain features a massive 4,425-foot vertical drop, spanning from a base elevation of 8,725 feet up to a peak elevation of 13,150 feet. Skiers and snowboarders can explore over 2,000 skiable acres across 147 total runs, which receive an average of 330 inches of snow each year.

The terrain is accessible via 17 lifts and caters to all skill levels, with a layout split into 23% beginner, 36% intermediate, and 41% expert trails, including steep bowls and hike-to terrain. The resort experience is uniquely divided between two distinct base areas connected by a free public gondola system that eliminates the need for a car. At the bottom sits the historic town of Telluride, a former Old West mining town filled with Victorian architecture and local storefronts. Higher up lies Mountain Village, a modern, pedestrian-friendly alpine hub featuring luxury hotels, upscale spas, and slopeside dining. As with most Colorado ski resorts, the ski season typically runs from late November through early April.

For travel, visitors can fly directly into Telluride Regional Airport (TEX), located just 10 minutes away, which offers seasonal flights from Dallas and Denver. Alternatively, many travelers use Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ), which sits 65 miles away and provides more frequent flight options, while those driving from Denver can expect a beautiful 6.5-hour journey over mountain passes.
